Customer Outstanding points report
Learn how to create Customer Outstanding Points Report
Objective
The Customer’s Outstanding Points Report gives a consolidated view of each customer’s total points balance, factoring in:
- Points earned
- Points reversed
- Points redeemed
- Points expired
It helps business and operations teams track outstanding points, monitor rewards, and perform reconciliations.
Accessing the Report
- Log in to the platform.
- Navigate to the Reports & Analytics < Data Exports
- Locate Customer’s Outstanding Points Report under monthly reports.
- Select the month you want to view.
Report Layout
The report shows one row per customer/account with the following columns:
| Column Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Relation Reference | Customer or account identifier. |
| Total Earned Points | Sum of all points earned (rule credit engine, manual credit, tier bonus, campaign bonus, referral bonus). |
| Total Reversal Points | Points reversed or canceled by the system. |
| Total Redeemed Points | Points redeemed for rewards. |
| Total Expired Points | Expired points or points lost due to closed accounts. |
| Total Outstanding Points | Net points remaining: Earned – Reversal – Redeemed – Expired. |
Note:
- The report is automatically generated monthly.
- After the report is ready, you will see it listed in the Reporting Module.
- Click View to check details for each customer/account.
Exporting the Report
- Click Download next to the report
- Choose CSV format.
- Save the file to your local system.
- CSV file contains:
- Total Earned Points
- Total Reversal Points
- Total Redeemed Points
- Total Expired Points
- Total Outstanding Points
Understanding the Report
- Total Earned Points: All points credited to the customer for the selected month.
- Total Reversal Points: Points that were canceled or reversed.
- Total Redeemed Points: Points used by the customer to claim rewards.
- Total Expired Points: Points that expired or were lost due to account closure.
- Total Outstanding Points: The remaining points a customer has available.
Key Notes for Business Users
Always ensure all point transactions for the month are complete before reviewing the report.
Use the report to:
- Check total points for customers/accounts
- Identify discrepancies in rewards
- Prepare monthly summaries for management
